According to a Gaza hospital, a devastating Israeli air strike has resulted in the tragic loss of at least 20 lives. The strike specifically targeted a house located in a refugee camp situated in the heart of the Palestinian territory.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital has released a statement reporting that a house belonging to the Hassan family in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza was targeted by an Israeli air strike. Tragically, the strike resulted in 20 fatalities and several wounded.

According to witnesses, the strike took place at approximately 3:00 am local time. The Israeli army is currently investigating the report.

According to a report from the Palestinian official news agency Wafa, the casualties from the incident included multiple children. Rescue teams are currently working tirelessly to locate any individuals who may still be trapped beneath the debris.

Intense clashes and extensive Israeli airstrikes have been documented in the central Nuseirat camp following the commencement of a "targeted" military operation centered around the southern city of Rafah in early May.

Violent confrontations between Palestinian militants and Israeli troops have been ongoing in the Jabalia camp in north Gaza for several days.

According to witnesses, a number of houses were reportedly struck by air strikes in Gaza overnight. Additionally, there were reports of air strikes and artillery shelling in parts of Rafah during the same period.

According to the Israeli military, two additional soldiers lost their lives in Gaza on the preceding day.

According to the military, a total of 282 soldiers have lost their lives in the ongoing Gaza military campaign since the ground offensive began on October 27.
